There are 3 'Types' of Pixel Alpacas: Basic, Special and Super special. These refer to the design of the Pixel Alpaca, for e.g. a basic alpaca is a solid color whilst a super special alpaca is one where extra time and detail was put into the theme of the alpaca, background and animation.

What do the buttons and symbols at the bottom represent?
The left buttons represent health, hunger, lights, medicine and poop cleaning. These were inspired by tamagotchis 💜.

The right symbol is my signature, which is Noru in Korean (노루). I separated the characters out equally.

When is the next drop, do you have a schedule?
I don't follow a strict schedule 😅. I draw each Pixel Alpaca so it may take some time, I do try to drop in batches of 3-4. If you want to keep up to date with the drops follow @NoruPixels on Twitter.

What programs do you use to create the alpacas?
I use Adobe Photoshop however there are plenty of alternatives. I started pixel art on Microsoft Paint (a long time ago). Today I would recommend Photopea.com (free web app) or check out Aseprite on Steam.

I grew up in the 90s and with my first computer I started pixel art using Microsoft Paint. I remember placing each pixel down carefully to create anything I wanted. A beach, my dad, cats.. Though I think it first started with my obsession for kaoanis. 🤔

Eventually I discovered Neopets and Gogaia (now Gaiaonline.com). There I sold pixel art of my own wonderful yet weird animal adoptables, created out of my own imagination and of course inspired by the concept of tamagotchis. Gogaia was a great place to create art of your own imagined 'species' to sell, breed and accessorize.

This project started out of my love for pixel art and alpacas. I wanted to create cute alpacas and give them a home. The thought of them all living forever on the Ethereum blockchain is mind blowing for me. I hope my time and effort in drawing these pixels will be able to bring a smile to others.
